Tottenham Begin Major Squad Rebuild
Following a disastrous Premier League season, Tottenham Hotspur are preparing for a comprehensive squad rebuild ahead of next season. Recently the management of the North Londoners has issued an official statement promising change.
As a part of that rebuild, Spurs have reached agreement with two free agents, Marco Senesi and Andy Robertson, ahead of next season. Tottenham have already finalised agreements with both in April, contingent on the club retaining its Premier League status.
With survival now secured, Senesi and Robertson are set to join Spurs following the expiration of their current contracts on June 30 as per The Athletic.
Marco Senesi Adds Defensive Quality
Argentine defender Marco Senesi had a remarkable season with Bournemouth, helping the club secure a sixth-place finish and qualification for European competition.
Senesi's progressive passing and ability to break opposition lines have been among his standout qualities this season.
Exceptional ball-playing qualities of Senesi as a defender attracted interests from several clubs in England, including Liverpool and Manchester United, but the player chose De Zerbi's Spurs as his next destination. The 29-year-old signed a 4-year contract with Spurs, which will add valuable depth and experience to Tottenham's defensive unit.
Robertson Brings Winning Experience
Upon the introduction of Andy Robertson as left full-back, Spurs are aiming to make use of the experience from the veteran defender who has won everything with Liverpool in his last 9 years.

The Scottish international is the first signing of De Zerbi at Spurs because Spurs values Robertson's winning mentality and leadership qualities on and off the pitch.
