Corrections Policy

Our formal process for welcoming reader feedback, verifying factual concerns, and noting corrections transparently.

Last Updated: May 2026

Our Commitment to Truth

At Global Goal Post, we strive to maintain the highest standards of factual accuracy in our football journalism. However, in the fast-paced world of live sports reporting, managerial shifts, and transfer market negotiations, minor factual slips or typos can occasionally occur.

When an error is brought to our attention, we welcome it. We believe that a prompt, transparent, and honest correction process is a mark of professional integrity, reassuring our reader base that our loyalty lies strictly with the facts.

1. How Readers Can Request a Correction

We actively encourage our community of readers, players, club officials, and representatives to notify us immediately of any factual discrepancy.

To submit a formal corrections request, please send an email to contact.globalgoalpost@gmail.com with the following details:

  • The exact URL link to the article containing the concern.
  • The specific paragraph, sentence, or parameter in question (e.g. spelling of a name, player transfer fee value, or match score).
  • The correct verified facts, backed where possible by a reliable reference link (such as an official club press release or direct player quote).

2. How Corrections are Reviewed

Upon receiving a corrections email, our editorial desk immediately triggers the following workflow:

  • Verification: The managing editor reviews the claimed error and cross-references it with direct official records, club announcements, or secondary reputable news registries.
  • Timeframe: We prioritize factual inquiries, aiming to investigate and verify all submissions within 12 to 24 hours of receipt.
  • Decision: If the original text is found to be factually incorrect, incomplete, or highly misleading, an edit is approved immediately.

3. How Updated Articles are Marked

To ensure full transparency, corrected articles are updated in our database and marked with a prominent note so that search crawlers and readers are fully aware of what changed:

  • Minor Corrections (Typos & Formatting): Spelling mistakes, slight grammatical slips, or minor formatting issues are corrected instantly without a formal editor footnote.
  • Substantive Factual Corrections: If a material fact (such as a transfer fee, player contract duration, injury return date, or match result) is corrected, we append a clear, dated **Correction Notice** at the very bottom of the article body.
  • Example Notice: "Correction (May 24, 2026): An earlier version of this article incorrectly stated that Lamine Yamal's contract is set to expire in 2029. The correct contract expiration year is 2031. We regret this error."
