Oliver Glasner Set for Nottingham Forest Job
Oliver Glasner is set to become Nottingham Forest manager following the dismissal of Vitor Pereira, who took charge in February 2026 in a mission to save the team from relegation threats.
After leaving Crystal Palace at the end of last season following the expiry of his contract, Oliver Glasner emerged as a target for several European heavyweights, including Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, and AC Milan. However, with those clubs eventually appointing other managers, Nottingham Forest acted quickly to secure the Austrian's appointment, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Forest Turn to Glasner After Managerial Turmoil
Nottingham Forest had an excellent league campaign in the 2024-25 season with a 7th-place finish under Nuno Espírito Santo, but he got sacked in the following season due to conflicts with team management and was replaced by Ange Postecoglou in September, but his tenure lasted for just 40 days at Forest. Later, Sean Dyche took charge and was replaced by Vítor Pereira in February.
Pereira was appointed with one clear objective: keep Nottingham Forest in the Premier League. He achieved that by guiding the club to a 16th-place finish, but the hierarchy has now opted for a long-term rebuild under Glasner.

Glasner's Winning Record Across Europe
In his spell at Frankfurt, he stunned Europe with a Europa League triumph, defeating Barcelona in the Camp Nou in the semifinals, and qualified for the knockout round of the Champions League in the following season. He left the team at the end of the 2022-23 season and joined Premier League club Crystal Palace to succeed English manager Roy Hodgson.
Glasner surprised the English football world with memorable victories over Manchester United, Aston Villa, and Liverpool in his first season and ended the trophy drought of the London club with an FA Cup triumph in May 2025, beating Manchester City in the final.
In last season with Crystal Palace, he won the Conference League, which is the only major European title in the history of the Eagles.
