Paris Saint-Germain have submitted an opening bid worth €28 million plus bonuses for Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki, according to Dimarzio of Sky Sports Italia. Juventus and several Premier League clubs are interested in signing the player, as he is open to a move in the summer.
PSG are reassessing their long-term goalkeeping options after Lucas Chevalier failed to establish himself as the club's undisputed first-choice goalkeeper, the club put chevalier on the transfer market and is looking for another goalkeeper that fits Luis Enrique's system and the club’s long-term plan.
The manager and Luis Campos are convinced that Zion Suzuki will be the ideal choice between the sticks after consistent displays in Serie A and impressive performance in the World Cup for the Japanese national team.
Suzuki made his senior debut with Japanese club Urawa Red Diamonds in 2021 and moved to Belgian club Sint-Truiden in 2023 on a loan move; later, it converted to a permanent move, and then he joined Parma SC in the summer of 2024 with a 4-year contract until 2027.

Suzuki has attracted interest from several of Europe's leading clubs thanks to his composure in possession and shot-stopping ability. He is calm under pressure and can contribute effectively to the team's buildup. The Japanese international also possesses an excellent passing range, which allows him to play long and pass to his teammates in pressure situations.
Apart from qualities on the ball, he is an excellent shot stopper and has outstanding reflexes.
Negotiations remain ongoing, with PSG hoping to reach an agreement on personal terms before attempting to finalize a deal with Parma.
