Yakub Minteh was on the priority list of the Reds, but that deal is called off due to the financial demands of Brighton for the attacker, which is £80 million.
Sarr already open to leaving Palace
Sarr is keen on a move away from Crystal Palace and already agreed to personal terms with Turkish giants Galatasaray for a transfer in the summer, but both offers submitted by Gala were rejected by Palace. He is not featured in the squad of the Palace's opening fixture against Everton, as the discussions are ongoing with the Turkish club.
Sarr has also been absent from Crystal Palace training as discussions over his future continue.
Why Sarr fits Liverpool's attack
The Reds are actively looking at multiple options for who could strengthen the right side of the attack following the departure of Mohamed Salah in the summer as a free agent. Sarr's versatility would give Liverpool another option across the attack. His pace and direct running make him naturally suited to the right wing, while his ability to operate centrally could give the Reds another option when facing deeper defensive blocks.
