Ipswich Reach Agreement for Abdul Fatawu
Ipswich Town have reportedly reached an agreement with Leicester City over a deal worth around £20 million for winger Abdul Fatawu, according to talkSPORT's Ben Jacobs.
The Ghana international has emerged as one of Ipswich's priority targets as Gary O'Neil looks to strengthen his attacking options following the club's return to the Premier League.

The Tractor Boys were promoted to the Premier League after the gap of a year and set Fatawu as their key target to strengthen the attack ahead of the 2026-27 season in the Premier League.
Ipswich finished in the second position of the EFL Championship in the 2025-26 season to secure their spot among the 20 Premier League sides.
Championship Numbers Show Fatawu's Quality
Abdul Fatawu is one of the consistent performers in his last two seasons with Leicester in the Championship, and the clubs, including Everton, West Ham, and Besiktas, was interested in the player in this transfer window, but the player's pick was Gary O'Neil's side.
The 22-year-old player scored 6 goals and had 13 assists in the 2024-25 season with Leicester City in the Championship and provided 9 goals and 7 assists in the 2025-26 season, even though the team was going through one of its worst periods since the 2008-09 season.
The player started his career at Ghanaian club Steadfast in 2019 and joined Sporting CP in 2022. The player was loaned out to Leicester in the following season and earned a permanent contract with the Foxes due to an impressive display for the team in the Premier League.

His former club, Sporting CP, is set to receive €1.2 million from the deal, as they owned 15% of the player while transferring him to Leicester City in the summer of 2024 on a permanent deal.
