Inter prepare second offer for Diaby
Inter Milan are preparing a second offer for Moussa Diaby after Al-Ittihad rejected their opening proposal for the French winger, according to Gianluca Di Marzio. Inter's opening proposal was worth €20 million plus midfielder Kristjan Asllani, but Al-Ittihad did not consider the package sufficient to sanction Diaby's departure.
As per Dimarzio, Inter is preparing a second offer to Al Ithihad to bring him into Italy to bolster their attack. Diaby is one of the favorite players of Inter manager Christian Chivu, and he tried to sign him in last winter's transfer window, but the Saudi club didn't sanction the sale even after Inter agreed to personal terms with the player.
Bayer Leverkusen remains in the race
Apart from Inter, Bayer Leverkusen are also firmly in the race for Diaby, with manager Carles Martínez Novell keen to bring the winger back to Germany.
Diaby open to European return
Diabby is keen to return to Europe and ready to accept a salary of €6 million, which is acceptable for the Italian champions according to the report.
The Paris Saint-Germain Academy product joined Al-Ittihad in the summer of 2024 after impressive spells with Bayer Leverkusen and Aston Villa.
Diaby's pace and ability to attack space could give Inter another direct option in the final third, particularly in transition. His experience in both the Bundesliga and Premier League also makes him a relatively proven option compared with a purely developmental signing.
