Hull City has officially announced the signing of Sweden international Elliot Stroud from Mjällby AIF in a deal worth around £3 million with a 4-plus-1-year contract. The Sweden international is expected to play an important role for the Tigers under Sergej Jakirović in their first Premier League season after 9 seasons.
A versatile attacking profile
The 24-year-old possesses the versatility to play anywhere on the left side with his exceptional qualities with the ball. Throughout his career, he has played as a left back, left midfielder, and left winger. Stroud brings excellent ball-carrying and a goal threat to the opposition's defense.
Before completing his move to the Tigers ahead of the new Premier League season, he appeared in 10 games for Mjällby in the Swedish league, where he scored 4 goals and assisted once. In last season he delivered 14 goals and 5 assists from 35 league matches, which earned him a place in the Swedish squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
