Bournemouth have completed the signing of Juventus goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio on loan, with an option to buy for €14 million in June 2027, according to Fabrizio Romano.
How the €14m option and €1.5m clause work
The agreement also reportedly protects Juventus financially. If Bournemouth decides against activating the €14m purchase option, they would owe Juventus €1.5m under the agreed clause.
Di Gregorio's journey from Inter to Juventus
Di Gregorio started his career with Inter Milan but didn’t make a senior appearance for the club. During his 5 years at Inter's senior team, they loaned him out to several Italian clubs before joining Monza on a permanent deal in 2022. He helped Monza to achieve promotion to Serie A for the first time ever and became a cult hero of the club.
In the summer of 2024, he joined Juventus on loan, followed by a permanent deal to become the first-choice goalkeeper.
Competition with Petrovic for the starting role
Juventus' decision to bring in Vicario has changed Di Gregorio's position in the squad, with the Italian now looking for an opportunity where he can compete for regular football.
